Californians for Nebraska 2008-2009 Scholarship Recipients |
|
Kelsie Schumacher
Kelsie is a second year recipient of our CFN scholarship. Her major is now Civil Engineering and her current GPA is 3.85. She has participated in many activities put on by her dorm (Pound Hall) as well as playing intramural flag football and working her second semester as a waitress at Michel’s Ville Grille.. She was on the Dean’s list for Spring Semester 2008 (Civil Engineering). This summer she plans to work in the materials testing lab for Inland Inspections and Consulting in Riverside to start venturing into the field of Civil Engineering. Statement of goals: “My goals have changed slightly since the last time I submitted this scholarship application. I’ve declared my major for Civil Engineering, a field that will take a lot of time, patience and effort...three things that are synonymous with my work ethic when it comes to my studies. While I am a little intimidated by the prospect of taking three semesters of Calculus and four of advanced Physics, those are mountains that I know I’ll climb when I reach them. I hope to graduate in another two and a half years (maybe three) and then go back to California to work in my father’s testing lab, which needs a Civil Engineer to function.” Click
