Daniel Lomelin
Current GPA 2.198 High School 3.5 Daniel will be a second year student at UNL majoring in Bio-Pre Medicine. His past extracurricular activities included being president of Science Oympial, Vice President of Solar Boar and being involved the Nation Honors Society. His previous awards were Academics and Volunteering recognition including a letter from the President. He paints avidly, loves to swim and draws exceptionally well. He worked at the front desk at a local hospital for four years running errands as well as being on its Junior Volunteer Board. Also, he spent his Spring Break this year helping create a set for a high school play and working the set changes during the show. He planned to get a summer job. Goal Statement “I have had essentially the most challenging year I’ve ever had academically at school this last year. I have learned so much. The lessons learned about living away from home along with my extraneous circumstances have honed my desire to accomplish my goals. I now understand what it takes to succeed in a new environment and have worked even harder since coming to UNL. I still plan on graduating within four years, although I still hope to do it within three. Consequently, I took 15 units this last semester and am planning on taking 16 in the fall. My drive to become a medical doctor and go to a good medical school has grown in my triumph over this year’s difficulties. There is nothing more I desire than success in having a career that benefits both my future family and community. I plan on finding volunteering opportunities this next year as well as finding a place among UNL’s various extracurricular activities.” Click
